Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a newer technology that improves upon a "tried and true" method to improve your complexion. We use the Dermaglow system, which can dramatically improve your complexion in just a few short treatments.

Fine lines, acne scars, and "age-spots" can be virtually erased from your skin! The procedure is usually painless and requires no anesthesia. Depending upon the extent of your problem, and the depth of the treatment required, your skin will be pink, like a sunburn, for minutes to hours after a treatment.

In most cases, Enhancements Mineral Makeup, formulated to be safe after treatments, can be applied immediately after your treatment is done.

Dermabrasion is not new. Cosmetic Surgeons have been using it for 30 years or more. The MICRO part is what’s new. Using this gentler technology, surgeons can remove as little as one or two layers of skin cells - for a very gradual improvement, thereby allowing you to immediately return to your normal activities.

"Old-Style" dermabrasion nearly always removed at least eight to ten layers of skin cells, leaving the skin rather unsightly for a few days afterward. Microdermabrasion gives you the option to decide just how quickly (more redness/more recovery) or slowly (less redness/less recovery) you want your complexion to be improved.

Deep scars, from acne or from injury, are tremendously improved using dermabrasion. As a rule, treatment of deeper scars must be done more aggressively in order to achieve some substantial improvement with each treatment.

Milder treatments will work too, but it can take a year or more of repeated treatments to achieve significant improvement of deeper scars.
